In a little more than a decade, Prati-Donaduzzi has become consolidated as an important pharmaceutical company in this country, thanks to its research focus and highly qualified products
This is how we began
After returning from France with doctorates, at the end of the 1980s, the pharmacist couple Luiz and Carmen Donaduzzi decided to begin the activities of a medicines factory in the capital of Pernambuco, Recife. Nevertheless, thinking of expanding, they needed to look for another city to install themselves in. In mid-1993, with support from the city authority of Toledo (Paraná) through donating some land, and from the State Government of Paraná, the company was able to set up in the city. In the beginning it was a small factory with only ten employees that worked with only five machines.
Beginning of the Activities
In Toledo, the company’s activities began in 1993 with the production of hospital medicines, but the company reached a prominent position within the national scene through the development of generic medicines.
Structural development
It was by the time of the law authorizing the manufacture of generic medicines (Law No. 9,787 of February 10, 1999), with a sharp eye for the new market opportunities emerging in Brazil, that Prati-Donaduzzi expanded. This created the possibility for the company to advance even further towards winning this market of such promise, which has been showing ever better figures year by year.
The new construction of about 12,200 square meters will bring the development and production of new products to the company.
Quality standards
All the production steps are rigorously carried out according to national and international norms of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), in conformity with ANVISA (National Sanitary Surveillance Agency) certification. In partnership with qualified suppliers, the company monitors the raw materials during the whole process, from the production of the medicines to the packaging. The fact that the company possesses the most advanced equipment on the market and can count on a competent team of technicians and researchers, ensures the manufacture of products of the highest quality standards. To ensure a prominent position, the company maintains a continuous improvement program among all employees.
