CCQ

In the past months, the employees in some of the company’s production sectors have started to notice certain improvements and have been wondering how this was happening. The answer has the name of Quality Control Circle (local acronym CCQ).

The project that was implemented in the middle of the year of 2005 is already showing good results, especially the “Strength and Action”, “Vision” and “Prati Friends” groups.

This work is a tool for volunteer employees who are interested in showing their potential for achieving fast results at lower cost. The CCQ activities consist of stimulating the employees to form teams in the search for solutions for a wide variety of problems.

The great objective of CCQ is to transform people, turning the company into a continuous learning environment. These activities stimulate motivation for teamwork and the possibility that everyone will be able to exploit their own ideas.

The CCQ activities help to develop solutions for difficulties and, through this, day-to-day work becomes easier as well as greater value is placed on what the company has that is most valuable: its employees.

Work out

Prati-Donaduzzi seeks to develop activities that can solve problems quickly, simply and with people’s involvement. One of these processes is called Work Out. Work Out is simple and objective. Small groups of managers and employees, either multifunctional or multilevel or even both, approach fundamental questions, develop recommendations and present them to a senior leader in a General Meeting. When an idea is approved at the general meeting, the company’s leader tells the owner (of the idea) to do what it takes to make it work. Work Out creates the company’s spirit and emphasizes agility, simplicity and self-confidence, applying these to the company’s specific needs. People from different levels and functions work together without worrying about status or title, because the questions are debated within the spirit of what is best for the whole company, not only for the units or individual functions.

5S

Another program developed by Prati-Donaduzzi is the 5S program, which is not just a work tool, but a life philosophy that, if used well, is an assurance that people, environment, products and services will be of excellent quality.

The 5S program aims to improve the work environment, in the physical, logical and mental senses. It has an educational base and it prepares people for critical observations of their realities and actions in relation to waste, disorganization, dirt, in the factors that bring disease and conflicts, or other abnormalities in the environment.

The main objective, in this sense, is to use only what is essential for the work, thereby avoiding excess, waste and bad utilization. All that is not necessary is discarded.

Grade A+ Attendance

In search for excellent quality in Customer to Company relations, Prati-Donaduzzi has developed the Grade A+ Attendance program. This work has the objective of making customers feel satisfied when they get in touch with the company.

These actions are developed both among operational employees and among team leaders. They have the function of promoting motivation and thus to obtain quality attendance and effective productivity.
