After the one-year hiatus, Prati-Donaduzzi Team is ready to return in great style to Stock Car's 39th season grid, which will open on April 2 with the first double round in Goiânia. The pharmaceutical company based in Toledo, in the western region of Paraná, signed a three-year contract with RMattheis Motorsport, tecnically led by Rodolpho Mattheis in partnership with his father, the expert Andreas Mattheis.
The racers are again Antonio Pizzonia from Amazonas and Julio Campos from Paraná, who have won four victories, four poles and four best laps over the company's five previous participations in the main Brazilian motorsport category.
The RMattheis Motorsport is based in the city of Petrópolis, in Rio de Janeiro, and on Friday the cars left the workshop to see the air of the mountain of one of the most known tourist centers of the State.
Prati-Donaduzzi's return to Stock Car is marked by ambitious goals. Podiums, victories and the title fight are part of the plans. This week, the couple of pilots was in the team for the preparation of the seats, to know the members and all the technical rearguard that they will have at their disposal and the first meetings of strategic planning. The weather is reliable in the success of the project. "I will reach the dream of running for a great team, organized and with an excellent database", says Campos. "I am very motivated and confident in the structure we have found. The team has been very strong in the technical and data areas. With Júlio again, the team spirit will also be reinforced”, adds Pizzonia.
The premiere of the Stock Car's 2017 season is scheduled for the traditional and recently renovated Goiânia Race Track on April 2nd.
