In order to make employees aware of the importance of worker safety and health, the companies of Prati-Donaduzzi Group joined Abril Verde Movement, an initiative of the Union of Safety Technicians of the State of Paraná to celebrate World Day in Memory of Victims Of Accidents and Diseases of Work (04/28th) and World Health Day (04/07th).
To this end, Prati-Donaduzzi's Occupational Safety department has developed the "Hand-in- Hand with Safety" Campaign, turning the employee's attention to the prevention of work, domestic and traffic accidents. "The focus of the campaign is on hands since the studies carried out with past data point to a high risk of accidents involving the upper limbs in which they are essential parts of the human body", explains the campaign´s coordinator and safety technician, Thaís Caroline Rossetto.

Actions
This Thursday (13th), Internal Accident Prevention Committee (CIPA) members and the Occupational Safety team performed a different action. Employees were invited to mark their hands on a board installed in the company as a form of commitment for health and safety in the workplace. In addition, they received an informative folder and a keychain in the shape of a hand.
On April 28th, the team will conduct an educational game for employees to reflect on the importance of hands. In addition, Occupational Safety technicians perform hand-related dynamics throughout the month.
Thaís also emphasizes that campaign actions are frequent from the beginning of the campaign Towards Zero Accident in 2014, and are carried out by the Occupational Safety team in partnership with the Internal Accident Prevention Committee (CIPA) that reflect in the reduction of the rate of accident seriousness in recent years. "Our goal with the campaign is to make the employee aware and create a culture in the company to prevent the life and health of the employee in the workplace”, she emphasizes.
