On March 14, cyclone Idai damaged homes, caused floods and injured about 1.85 million people, leaving more than 460 dead in Mozambique. Currently, residents of the region face shortages of food, water and other essentials items.
Thinking about the well-being of the local population and by the invitation of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), Prati-Donaduzzi, the largest producer of generic drug doses in Brazil*, will send analgesics, antibiotics, anti-inflammatories and oral rehydration compounds. Medications are for adult and pediatric use. In total, more than 350,000 doses of drugs will be donated to the victims of tragedy in Mozambique.
According to Eder Fernando Maffissoni, Prati-Donaduzzi CEO, actions like this one reinforce the company's commitment to the mission of bringing health and well-being to those who need. "We believe the donation will benefit thousands of people who find themselves in a critical situation where all support is welcome", says Maffissoni.
Social Projects
The actions of humanitarian aid, the participation and realization of social projects are part of Prati-Donaduzzi's DNA. In 2015 and 2016, Prati-Donaduzzi donated drugs for voluntary missions in Mozambique - a project developed by students of the São Paulo Adventist University in Nampula province, northern Mozambique.

Volunteering, under the slogan "Do good without looking at who", the Volunteer Program of Prati-Donaduzzi allows a space for development to the employees so that they can integrate the values evidenced in the practice of volunteering to their work practices. The carried out activities benefit both the internal public of the company and the community.
