Pharmacists to conclude Prati-Donaduzzi's innovative residency

Prati-Donaduzzi Pharmaceutical Industry, in partnership with the University of the West of Paraná (Unioeste) - Campus of Cascavel, graduated the fourth group of the Residency Program in Industrial Pharmacy, which is an innovative and unprecedented graduate program in Brazil.

For two years, pharmacists Felipe Nathanael, Ivan da Silva, Giovana dos Santos and Carolina Santos experienced academic knowledge combined with practice in the pharmaceutical industry, which is a benchmark in medicines in Brazil.

“The residency is an opportunity for the student's development and insertion in the industry. In the first year, the resident has the opportunity to get to know the areas of pharmaceutical industry and in the second year he/she starts to work in a specific sector of Prati-Donaduzzi, explains the Program coordinator at Prati-Donaduzzi, Denize Polla.

Career

The newest specialist in Industrial Pharmacy, Carolina Santos, found in the residence a great opportunity. “Being in contact with different sectors and acting alongside professionals with great expertise has contributed a lot to my professional and personal development”, she emphasizes.

The resident, Felipe Nathanael, evidences that the training directed to professionals in the pharmaceutical sector is now one of the great differentials in his career. “The residency allows a great immersion in the pharmaceutical industry from the beginning to the end of the processes. A unique experience, which in two years brings us immense background”.

Opportunity

With the end of the residency, in addition to celebrating the conclusion of an intense period of studies and training, the specialists have a closer relationship with the pharmaceutical company, increasing the chances of being hired. The Program also aims to retain the talent of these professionals as researchers in the company.

Training

The residency is a teaching modality at the graduate level, in the form of a lato sensu specialization, aimed at pharmacists. The weekly workload is 60 hours, 12 of which are dedicated to theoretical classes and 48 to in-service training at Prati-Donaduzzi, totaling 5,760 hours in the two years.
