Pharmaceutical company Prati-Donaduzzi supported the Obstetrics and Gynecology Refresher Journey carried out this last Friday (26th) and Saturday (27th) in Toledo. The Journey was promoted by the Associação de Obstetrícia do Paraná (Sogipa) together with Clínica Plena. The main goal of the event was to provide a refresher and an exchange of experiences among medical professionals. It had more than 40 participants in attendance from the cities of Toledo, Assis Chateaubriand, Marechal Cândido Rondon, Vera Cruz do Oeste, Ubiratã, Cascavel, Palotina, Umuarama, Guaíra, Foz do Iguaçu, Pato Branco, and Londrina.
During these two days several issues were discussed such as infertility, thromboembolism, hormones, malignant neoplasms in gynecology, recurrent urinary tract infection, contraception with estrogen, etc. What’s more the medical professionals also had the opportunity to meet the production, and Research, Development and Innovation areas from Prati-Donaduzzi. Medics in attendance were welcomed by Dr. Carmen Donaduzzi - who carried out the technical tour - and had lunch at the company’s premises.
According to Naura Tonin, OB/GYN and organizer of the event, the Journey surpassed the initial expectations and had the attendance of gynecologists, obstetricians, oncologists, urologists, and family doctors. “During the first scientific meeting we discussed several subjects related to the practice’s everyday life. We hope that event like this can result in an improvement in care rates and a reduction in newborn and mother deaths”.
