On March 14, cyclone Idai damaged homes, caused floods and injured about 1.85 million people, leaving more than 460 dead in Mozambique. Currently, residents of the region face shortages of food, water and other essentials items.
Thinking about the well-being of the local population and by the invitation of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), Prati-Donaduzzi, the largest producer of generic drug doses in Brazil*, will send analgesics, antibiotics, anti-inflammatories and oral rehydration compounds. Medications are for adult and pediatric use. In total, more than 350,000 doses of drugs will be donated to the victims of tragedy in Mozambique.
According to Eder Fernando Maffissoni, Prati-Donaduzzi CEO, actions like this one reinforce the company's commitment to the mission of bringing health and well-being to those who need.
